Wednesday, June 13, we had rain in the morning (and overnight Tuesday night). We went searching for a laundromat since this campground did not offer laundry facilities. We went to Lancaster, NH (passing another laundromat on the way), did our laundry, bought some groceries, and went to Fuller's Sugarhouse where we bought delicious maple syrup candies. During the morning, the rain cleared off and we also walked around the town while our laundry was washing. After returning to the camper for lunch and naps, we set out for Flume Gorge. My parents had been here and I had grown up looking at slides of the place. It was time for us to go. Incidentally, this is usually one of the places the kids mention when we ask for what they liked best on the trip.

On a bridge over a creek/small river. This was made from a large pine tree that fell across the creek. The tree dates from pre-revolutionary times if I remember correctly.

This was a beautiful place...I could've spent more time there. :-) Although perhaps I'd rather spend more time with less preschoolers! Other than the road construction delays, we loved this!
