Good morning!
I'm sitting here in the dark. Time change has darkened my mornings, but I know that in another month, it will be lighter again. I'm enjoying the light in the evening, although sometimes I lose track of time with the sudden adjustment. Oh well. I have a lovely cup of coffee with cream and sugar. I've broken the sugar with tea habit (except chai) but not the sugar with coffee habit.
Yesterday I went to one of our local discount grocery stores. My friend had told me they had a lot of gluten free foods right now...so I stocked up. Not as healthy as making cookies myself from scratch, but great for when I (or Autumn) have baked for us but didn't get time to make an alternative food for the one who is gluten free. Zach went with me. It's kind of nice to just have 1 kids with me. They get extra mom attention and there is no fighting over who pushes the cart. :-)
Books: I continue to read "Notes from a Small Island"' when I'm sitting in waiting rooms. I'm concentrating on the book of "Isaiah" (in the Bible) during my devotional times. I'm also working through the book "Unseen" by Sara Hagarty. "Parenting Scripts" is next on my list. I'm involved with a book study using "Healing Traumatized Children". It's been good to review that book again and remind myself of parenting techniques that have been so helpful! In the evenings, when Randy is not home, I've been working through the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy again. Another evening should wrap that up. Then, perhaps, I'll start watching the movies...It will take awhile only watching a half hour or an hour a night!
Homeschool co-op continues to go well. I help in the Presidents and States & Capitals class. It's fun to review these things. I do enjoy history. Then I'm in the nursery for 2 sessions which works nicely. I'm starting to look at next school year and figure out what I'm doing for everyone with that.
Last week and this week I was blessed with something extremely rare...2 completely blank days on my schedule. I could just homeschool and do things around the house. It has been lovely. Next week is a whole 'nother story...lots of appointments.
Well, I'm hearing people stirring...
Have a lovely day!
